The Coquitlam Teachers’ Association is a democratically structured organization. Our Bylaws & Policies describe our local governance structure.
The Constitution of the BCTF and the CTA shall determine membership in the CTA.
PURPOSES:
The purposes of the Association shall be:
- To foster and promote the cause of education in School District No 43 (Coquitlam).
- To maintain and to improve the status, welfare and professional development of the teaching profession and its members, including entering into agreements with School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) to this end.
- To represent its members and to regulate relations with their employer through collective bargaining of terms and conditions of employment.
